Things I want to do on my holidays

1- Write on my blog (and here I am!)

2- Finish the owl mouse pads I was sewing a few months ago

handmade sewing owl mouse pads by the knitting scientist

3- Try my new toyota flower stitch foot on Ruby, my amazing Toyota Oekaki sewing machine

4- Make the hems on my two new pants (boooooooring!!!… But someone’s got to do it, right?)

5- Buy a zipper to fix one of my many vintage dresses.

6- Wash my stinky Chocolaticas shoes (Don’t judge, I have sweaty feet, ok?)

7- Thoroughly wash my office water/tea/coffee bottles (Update: well, turns out you’re not supposed to boil them… guess I’ll have to buy new ones!…)

8- Spend the day in the Sydney Botanical Gardens with my knitting and a good book.

9- Go for a dip in Botany Bay or another quiet beach

10- Get the NSW Knitters Guild certification in crochet Level 1 (That’s right!!! I am now a proud member of the NSW Knitters Guild! So exciting to meet new, interesting like-minded people!).

Well, that’s two done, eight more to go! Are you having a break? What are your plans?

About The Knitting Scientist

I was born in a land where the sun shines bright, time passes by slowly and people take pride in what they do. My mom taught me my first stitches and I never put down my hook and needles again! Later I became a scientist, dwelling within the mysteries of life and the universe, using logic and analytic thinking, giving my humble contribution to human knowledge. Scientist during the day, knitter at night. Just like a super hero, creative hands on an analytic mind is my super power! That's me and this is my story lost among test tubes and balls of yarn!
